We have created this infographic which depicts the statistics for engagement rings In 2017, the average woman’s ring size for engagement rings was between 6 and 6.5. WeddingWire reported that $5,000 was the average cost of engagement rings for 42% of the 6,000 newlywed couples surveyed.
It also shows 40% of engagements happened between November and February, with Valentine’s Day being a popular time for proposals. Furthermore, 64% of couples announced their engagement on social media. Interestingly, 25% of couples had an actual engagement party. In the UK, 39% of people broke up via text or social media, and 21% of UK couples eloped for their weddings.
